The girls in my spiritual book club wanted to read Feeding Your Demons - Ancient wisdom for resolving inner conflict by Tsultrim Allione.
I thought it sounded like a negative book. I took a quick look at the description...
"Are you wrestling with your demons? Struggling with depression, anxiety, illness, an eating disorder, a difficult relationship, fear, self-hatred, addiction, or anger? Renowned American Buddhist leader Tsultrim Allione explains that the harder we fight our demons, the stronger they become. If we want to liberate ourselves from the fight once and for all, we must reverse our approach and nurture our demons."
I decided I didn't want to read it, thinking that I didn't have any demons.
My girlfriend said that the book had come highly recommended by another friend and gifted teacher and suggested that perhaps I did have some demons.... didn't I stress quite a lot and couldn't that be considered anxiety?
Of course, she was right! Sometimes it's hard to see ourselves!
One intuitive told me that I have a very active brain, yes! And as a Thyroid body type my stress levels tend to run pretty high sometimes.
