I find it fascinating that each body type is prone to certain ailments, so, knowing your body type, making the necessary changes and eating right for your body type, may literally save your life!
The Adrenal or Apple Shaped Body Type
The Adrenal body type can be prone to high cholesterol, high blood pressure and issues relating to the cardiovascular system. The Adrenal Type craves fat and salt, which can exasperate the conditions they are more prone to.
Eating right for their body type, learning how to better manage their stress, and reducing that dangerous belly fat around the midsection, may help prevent cardiovascular issues aka the silent killers, such as heart attack or stroke further down the road.
The Gonad or Pear Shaped Body Type
For women, the gonads has to do with the ovaries, and this body type will often have challenges related to the reproductive system. Breast cysts, ovarian cysts, PCOS, issues with PMS, hormonal imbalance, and menopause issues are common, as well as congestion that may cause varicose veins.
Following a healthy diet and especially reducing sugar can have such a beneficial effect on hormones. This type needs more sleep than any of the other body types, so if you are pear-shaped, tuck yourself in early and take care of you.
The Thyroid Body Type
This type tend to have a nervous energy. When unbalanced, they use things like coffee, tea, sugar and carbs to try spike their energy up, leading them on an up-and-down roller coaster all day long. I know this, because that was me! Unresolved emotional issues and excess stress can wreak havoc on the digestive system causing issues such as Crohn's, colitis, IBS, and a sensitive digestive
system.
Increasing protein can help reduce sweet cravings. Eating right for my Thyroid Body Type was the single, most beneficial thing I ever did to transform my health and my life.
The Pituitary Body Type
This type tends to love dairy, milk, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, and because these dairy products cause excess mucus in the body, this reeks havoc with their respiratory system. They can be prone to seasonal allergies, sinusitis, bronchitis and the like.
Reducing or eliminating dairy can be the best thing for them to help reduce the mucous and in turn heal the respiratory ailments.
