I joined a business group coaching program in April and we were asked to pick our 'Word' for the quarter (April, May, June)
I picked the word, 'Worthy.'
Having grown up with a lot of criticism, feeling worthy is something I struggled with a long time. When I lived in an apartment I felt not good enough as I thought I should own a home. As a yoga teacher, I struggled financially and I was mostly single so I again felt less than others.
Of course worthiness comes from within and has nothing to do with what we own or who we're with. And I'm super happy with where I'm at and what I'm doing in my life, so why did i choose the word worthy?
Sometimes what was familiar in our life sticks around simply because it has become familiar and it's challenging to make it unfamiliar. I feel that it's still something I need to work on.
I find the value that I'm offering clients is worth way more than what I am charging. I think because I struggled financially for a long time I worry that others may be also struggling financially so I lower my prices so more people can afford my services.
