1. You need a Strong "Why"
"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." Friedrich Nietzsche. Why do you want to achieve your goals? How will it make you feel? How will life be different? Keep your Why front and foremost.
2. Change "I got to" to "I get to!"
Instead of saying, "I got to go for a walk, or eat this healthy salad, can you switch that to "I get to" do this? Focus on being grateful for your strong healthy body, you're not in a wheelchair, you can walk! And you have fresh, healthy food to eat, what a precious gift!
3. Change your thoughts to positive ones
Your thoughts create your feelings
Your feelings create your actions
Your actions create your habits
Your habits create your lifestyle
It All starts with your thoughts. Take your focus off of what you're not doing and focus on all the positive things you are doing.
4. Ask yourself, what would a healthy person do?
You are working towards being a healthy person. When you have choices to make, keep on asking this and you'll turn into that healthy person!
5. Be The Little Train Who Could
In this classic children's book the little train engine had to pull a huge long train up a very big hill. He didn't think he could do it, but kept on repeating to himself, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can." And he made it up the hill.
