Had enough of the sensational headlines creating more panic than necessary?
I hear you!
My book club has been reading the book Be Happy by Robert Holden. Although I am only about 1/4 of the way through, I am thoroughly enjoying it, especially one of the exercises called, The Spiritual Front Page.
It's a simple metaphor that can be used as a daily spiritual practice to help you follow your joy.
The idea is that each morning you take some quiet time to create your own page for the day. You can do it as a creative visualization or you can do it literally, with a pen and a blank piece of paper.
First, take a deep breath and clear your mind. Next, tune in to what is most important in your life right now and what (and who) needs your best energy, time and attention. And then you draw (literally or in your minds eye) your Spiritual Front page.
You may find you write a headline like "Slow Down And Enjoy My Day" or "Stay In My Power" or "Commit To Yoga Class" or "Speak My Truth." Alternatively, you may get a picture of someone you need to connect with.
The purpose of "The Spiritual Front Page" is to help you connect to your wisdom. And it only takes 5 minutes, which is the same amount of time it takes to read the headlines in the newspaper.
If you really want to go for it, the lead article could be a personal interview with universe, your higher self, God or whomever you choose. Interview them on a big subject like happiness, your love life or whatever guidance you need for the day. Connect to wisdom, connect to truth, and then go about your day.
This really works! I've had such fun with this the past week, writing headlines, drawing stick figure pictures, quick articles and then manifesting the results during my day.
A very powerful exercise! Have fun and share your results with me!
