One of the biggest mistakes most people make when trying to lose weight, is eating a light lunch.
Many clients tell me they are eating a healthy salad for lunch, or something else that is light, or grabbing a quick sandwich at the food court....
Take Andy for instance (not his real name)...
He came to see me on December 19th telling me he wanted to lose about 65 - 70 pounds and wondering how fast he could do that. First, I explained that I don't do fast weight loss, and that by following his body type plan and exercising he would lose the weight and be able to maintain it for the rest of his life.
He was usually skipping breakfast, and eating out at lunch, something fast like pasta, pizza, Indian food, etc.
At dinner time he was so hungry he would end up overeating and then snacking quite a lot after dinner.
Does this sound familiar?
I gave him his personalized body type plan, explaining to him the importance of eating a light breakfast and a substantial lunch that he would bring from home.
Aiming for half the plate vegetables, 1/4 protein, such as a vegetarian protein, beans, lentils, chickpeas, etc, or fish or an egg, and 1/4 plate good quality carbs, using the graphic below.
