There were a lot of great takeaways from the talk about Values.
We did a written exercise to determine our values and not surprisingly mine were:
1. Transforming others lives through my work
2. Healthy food and
meals
3. Building my business
Exercise and relationships were close behind.
Your identity, sense of self and most authentic self is determined by your highest values. When you live according to your highest values, you have the highest probability of having a balanced mind. When you live by someone else's, you
automatically feel unfulfilled.
Symptoms of addiction and additive behaviors indicates unfulfilled highest values.
Looking for immediate gratification.
A very powerful exercise to do is to make a long list, he suggests even up to 150, of the advantages of the addictive
behavior.
There is a reason for the behavior and when you keep on looking you might come up with some huge insights.
It's a matter of taking responsibility instead of saying it's not my fault.

Change your values to fit your goals.
For instance, if family is your highest value and eating healthy isn't that high, perhaps setting a good example to your family will motivate you more.
